At the foot of Sacro Monte, in Fontana dei Pastori, at 1,400 metres above sea level, lies Chalet Madonna di Viggiano. The property, which offers accommodation all year round, is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, in an area equipped for winter and summer tourism and an ideal destination for mountain lovers.

Close to the building are the ski slopes of Montagna Grande di Viggiano with two ski lifts, while for children there is a ski school equipped with a magic carpet lift and a tubing slide.
Near the chalet is the CEAS Wolf Museum (Centre for Environmental Education and Sustainability) and the Shepherds' Fountain, where pure water flows. From here, a beautiful path through the beech forest leads to Viggiano, where the main route of the Cammino dei Cinti runs, in the third stage from Sacro Monte to Grumentum.
