The administrative headquarters of the Parco Nazionale dell’Appennino Lucano Val d’Agri Lagonegrese are located in Marsico Nuovo (Pz), in Palazzo Manzoni, an ancient Benedictine convent built around 1179. A visit to this monumental complex is highly recommended: the garden, the ancient cistern and the internal courtyard, which offers breathtaking views of the Agri valley, are not to be missed. Visitors can also enjoy a pleasant break at the bar inside the building, which is open to all visitors and has tables and chairs overlooking the valley.
